German TikTok star Noel Robinson, known for his high-energy dance videos, was briefly detained by police in Bengaluru while filming a video on the street in traditional Indian attire. The incident occurred when his dance performance attracted a large crowd, prompting public safety concerns.
Robinson, who was recording the video without prior permission, was taken to a nearby police station for questioning. He was reportedly held for about 15 minutes and fined for filming without authorisation.
In a video later posted on his Instagram page, the 23-year-old dancer can be seen being led into a police vehicle. The clip shows him slightly bumping his head as he is guided by an officer. Despite the brief detention, Robinson reassured his followers, saying he was safe and that the situation had been handled peacefully.

” This was my first time being taken to the Police Station!! I was scared they would send me to prison but luckily Everything was fine🇮🇳! I’m Safe and I love India,” Noel said in an Instagram post.
Robinson added that such incidents could happen anywhere and asked his fans not to blame India.
The incident sparked mixed reactions online. While many expressed concern over the way Robinson was handled, others defended the police action, saying crowd control was necessary.
This is not the first such incident in the city. Recently, another German TikToker, Younes Zarou, was also briefly detained in Bengaluru’s Church Street area for causing a similar crowd while filming a video.

In a bizarre yet headline-grabbing incident, a German TikToker was detained by Bengaluru police for filming a dance video at a restricted public location without official permission. What began as a casual reel turned into an unexpected legal tangle—and his emotional Instagram reaction has now gone viral, clocking over 1.2 million views in just 24 hours.
The 23-year-old German content creator, identified as Leon Krämer, is a popular figure on TikTok and Instagram, boasting over 850,000 combined followers across platforms. On Tuesday, Leon was spotted filming an energetic Bollywood dance routine with a local crew in Cubbon Park, a protected heritage zone in Bengaluru.
According to officials from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), the filming was done without prior permission, violating Section 19 of the Karnataka Parks Act. Eyewitnesses reported that his team used professional equipment, including tripods, gimbals, and speakers.

“Foreign nationals must secure permission from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and the BBMP for commercial shoots. This was a clear violation,” said a senior civic official.
The TikToker was briefly detained for over 3 hours at the Cubbon Park Police Station. His passport and visa details were verified. He was let off with a stern warning, and police noted it would be recorded as a minor infraction unless repeated.
Duration of Detention: 3 hours
Charges: Unauthorized public filming
Passport Status: Verified and returned
Fine: No monetary fine, only verbal warning issued
Soon after being released, Leon uploaded an emotional Instagram story and reel titled “I got detained in India 😭🇮🇳”, in which he shared his side of the story.
“I honestly didn’t know I needed a license to film a dance in a public park. I love India and meant no disrespect,” he said tearfully.
