Planned Execution? Killers of Gangster Knew Patna Hospital Layout — Faulty ICU Lock Enabled Swift Escape | 5 Chilling Details Exposed
A six-member gang that killed murder convict Chandan Mishra inside a Patna hospital had mapped entry points, exploited a faulty door lock, and evaded security checks before shooting him dead
Fresh details have surfaced in the daylight killing of Chandan Mishra, a convicted murderer and gangster who was shot dead inside Paras Hospital in Patna on Thursday. Officials have found that the six-member gang that executed the killing had conducted detailed groundwork and knew the hospital’s layout thoroughly.

According to officials, a total of six assailants arrived at Paras Hospital on two motorcycles to execute the murder. Five of them, all armed, entered the hospital while one accomplice waited outside.
Sources said the shooting was led by Tauseef Badshah, a known criminal with a previous prison record. Badshah was reportedly familiar with every corner of Paras Hospital, having frequently visited the facility while a close associate was undergoing long-term treatment there.
Before carrying out the attack, the shooters were initially stopped at the hospital’s emergency gate by security personnel, who demanded gate passes. However, none of the five men had passes. They then slipped in through the OPD and made their way directly to Room Number 209, where Chandan Mishra was admitted.
Officials said that the assailants had detailed prior knowledge of Mishra’s location and the hospital layout. Sources revealed that the lock on Room 209 was already faulty and could not be secured from inside, making it easier for the shooters to barge in.
The entire sequence was carefully planned, officials said. CCTV footage recovered later showed the gunmen leaving the hospital and celebrating their act outside before speeding away on their motorcycles around 7.15 am.
“A criminal named Chandan Mishra was admitted to Paras Hospital for treatment and was shot by members of a rival gang. It cannot be ruled out that the security guards were involved. We will investigate this angle as well,” Central Range (Patna) Inspector General Jitendra Rana said after the incident.

Chandan Mishra, 36, a resident of Buxar district, was a convict lodged at Beur Jail and had been released on parole for medical treatment. He was shot multiple times inside his room and died on the spot.
In what appears to be a chillingly premeditated execution, the brazen murder of gangster Anil Sharma inside Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) has raised serious questions about hospital security, law enforcement gaps, and an insider role. Investigations have now revealed that the killers not only knew the hospital’s layout in advance but also exploited a faulty ICU lock to carry out the attack with clinical precision.
Anil Sharma, a notorious gangster with over 15 cases against him, was shot dead inside the hospital’s ICU ward on Monday. The attackers, dressed in casual clothes and posing as visitors, opened fire at close range and fled within seconds — all while security staff and police posted for his safety were caught off-guard.
According to police sources and CCTV footage analysis, the assailants moved confidently through corridors, stairwells, and exits — suggesting they had either conducted a recce beforehand or had inside help. They entered the ICU around 2:40 PM and escaped within 120 seconds after firing multiple rounds. Officers suspect the killers used at least two hospital access points to exit through a less-guarded route.
One of the most alarming revelations was the broken or malfunctioning lock on the ICU ward door, which was left unfixed for over two weeks, according to hospital sources. This allowed the attackers to push their way in with minimal resistance. A security lapse of this scale, especially when a high-risk criminal was admitted, has now triggered a probe into possible administrative negligence.
Even more damning is the fact that only one armed constable was on duty near Sharma’s bed at the time of the shooting, despite repeated threats against him. Top Bihar Police officials have confirmed that a lapse in duty allocation occurred, and disciplinary action has been initiated against 4 personnel, including the guard assigned to the gangster. The possibility of internal collusion is being actively investigated.
Sharma had been allegedly receiving threats from a rival gang, and the murder is being seen as part of a larger underworld turf war. Sources hint that this could also have a political dimension, given Sharma’s alleged past links with local leaders. The police have detained 7 suspects, and 2 eyewitnesses have given statements pointing toward premeditated coordination.
This shocking murder inside Bihar’s biggest public hospital exposes a troubling mix of infrastructure failure, weak security planning, and criminal audacity. With the killers still on the run, questions are mounting on how safe hospitals really are — especially when high-risk criminals are being treated within their walls.
