According to ANI, advocate Prashant Patil issued a statement on behalf of the couple, stating, “My clients have been informed by certain segments of the electronic and print media that an alleged case has been registered against them with the Economic Offences Wing in Mumbai. At the outset, my clients deny all allegations, which are purely civil in nature and have already been adjudicated by the NCLT, Mumbai, on 4 October 2024.”
The solicitor further described the case as “baseless” and “malicious“, adding, “The company in question has already received a liquidation order, which has also been submitted to the police. The appointed chartered accountants have visited the police station on more than 15 occasions over the past year, providing all the necessary evidence supporting my clients’ claims. This is nothing more than a vindictive attempt to malign my clients, and we are taking appropriate legal action against those responsible.”
